В статье содержится обоснование актуализации обращения к теме участия современной российской студенческой молодежи в общественно-политической жизни общества. Отмечается, что сегодня проблема обеспечения участия студенческой молодежи в политической жизни страны является одной из значимых задач, в рамках которой должны быть приложены силы государственного управления. Участие в общественно политических инициативах открывает для молодых людей большие возможности по обсуждению и влиянию на принятие значимых политических и управленческих решений относительно острых вопросов, стоящих на повестке дня.

Авторами исследуется вовлеченность студентов в разнообразные формы гражданской активности, посредством которых возможно ее эффективное участие в политических процессах. Политические предпочтения молодежи как наиболее активной и прогрессивно мыслящей социальной группы определяют векторы ее гражданской активности, что, в свою очередь, формирует особенности и направления становления современного правового государства и гражданского общества.

Сделан вывод о том, что наиболее популярными мировоззренческими ориентирами молодежи в вопросах социально-политического устройства государства являются демократические и социал-демократические идейные взгляды. Отмечена тенденция увеличения вовлеченности молодежи в такую форму гражданской активности, как выборы.

The article contains a rationale for the relevance of addressing the topic of participation of modern Russian student youth in the socio-political life of society. It is noted that today the issue of ensuring the participation of student youth in the political life of the country is one of the significant tasks within which the efforts of public administration should be applied. Participation in social and political initiatives opens up great opportunities for young people to discuss and influence the adoption of significant political and management decisions regarding pressing issues on the agenda.

The authors study the involvement of students in various forms of civic activity through which their effective participation in political processes is possible. The political preferences of young people, as the most active and progressively thinking social group, determine the vectors of their civic activity, which in turn shapes the features and directions of the formation of a modern rule of law state and civil society.

It is concluded that the most popular ideological guidelines for young people in matters of the socio-political structure of the state are democratic and social-democratic ideological views. The authors also noted a trend of increasing youth involvement in such a form of civic activity as elections.
