Why logic studies reasoning? C.S. Peirce’s view
Abstract
The paper contributes to the question “Why does logic study reasoning?” (C.S. Peirce’s position). Despite American scholar treated the principal issue of logic differently, his every definition deals with reasoning. To understand the essence of reasoning, he analyses that cognitive activity method by means of semiotics or diagrammatical theory methods, i.e. existential graphs theory. Peirce supposes that reasoning study approaches our understanding of knowledge discovery process.
