Abstract

The article deals with the issues of coexistence between the authorities and scientific intellectuals during the period of political, economic and social transformations of the late 1920s – early 1940s. Two time periods are considered – from 1924 to 1932 years and from 1933 to 1941 years. For each of them it describes, firstly, the state’s policy towards scientists, the consequences of the policy for the whole country and certain social group. Secondly, what aspirations, interests, orientations were characteristic of scientists, what they consisted of, how they correlated with state interests, as well as the interests of the whole people
