Emile Durkheim views perception in modern philosophy. Charles Taylor, John Milbank, Talal Asad

Abstract

In this article author examines main theses of Emile Durkheim’s sociology of religion in the context of modern strategies for rethinking of secularization. The purpose of the article is not only to emphasize critical remarks by main authors against Durkheim’s theory of religion, but also to demonstrate how the latter may turn out to be useful for the beginnings of new understanding of the secular and religious, by Mil-bank, Asad and Taylor including.
